# National bond-table records

National annual bond-table series FY2021–FY2026 and the fixed FY2025 raw decision-code groups. FY2026 is partial through 2026-08-31. This is not the current court-year selection or a complete grouped export.

A metric resolves from its stable series/row/metric IDs, series population and definition, row period/sourceRef, and named stateful value. A median also retains sampleSize and sampleMetricId; no ratio denominator is invented.

available zero is a true published count. Missing, source-withheld, not applicable, no positive amount and technical failure are distinct; none is filled with zero. No missing group is fabricated.

## National records by saved-date fiscal year

population=accepted_dated_D_TblAssociatedBond_rows; dateField=COMP_DATE

One accepted D_TblAssociatedBond row whose saved COMP_DATE parses into the stated date window; not people, unique cases or all detained people. A case may have multiple rows.

FY2026 includes records dated through 2026-08-31; it is an incomplete fiscal year. Each earlier row covers 10-01 through 09-30.

Zero, blank and unparseable new amounts are outside the amount median; they remain in the record count. A positive amount is not necessarily an amount paid.

Dates use TRY_CAST(SUBSTR(COMP_DATE,1,10) AS DATE), inclusive 2020-10-01–2026-08-31. FY starts 10-01. COMP_DATE is the saved field, not a payment date, release date or asylum decision date. The query reads the accepted bond table directly, with no case/person deduplication or asylum join. NEW_BOND uses TRY_CAST(NEW_BOND AS DOUBLE), and only amount>0 enters the amount sample. Zero, blank, unparseable and other non-positive amounts remain in records but not the median; no additional cleaning rule is applied.

The national median is the published DuckDB MEDIAN(CASE WHEN amount>0 THEN amount END) in USD. The valid amount sample size is positive_amount_records, not all records. With an even sample, the median interpolates the two central amounts. It is not a mean, an average or sum of court medians, a fee recommendation or a personal expected amount. No positive sample means not_calculable/no_positive_amount, never a zero median.

Raw published numbers are preserved. Counts are integer records; amounts are USD, displayed with at most two decimal places using the existing halfExpand number formatter, without forced trailing zeros.
