Use of public records and legal disclaimer

Use historical public records with their stated scope and limitations. This site provides general information, not individual legal advice.

What this site provides

AsylumCompass is an independent, free resource for public records and general procedural information. Government agencies do not operate or endorse it. The site does not act as your legal representative, submit filings, or monitor your case or deadlines. You can browse without an account or uploading case documents.

Historical context

Use historical results to understand past records, not to forecast an individual outcome. Comparisons do not establish a causal court effect, a judge quality score, or a recommendation to move or change venue. Read each figure with its population, period, counting unit and denominator. A proceeding count is not a count of unique people or cases. Recorded asylum grant share counts grants divided by grants plus denials among eligible proceedings; other outcomes are outside that denominator. Shares based on small samples can change sharply, and historical duration does not estimate the remaining wait for an open case.

Source coverage and currency

Check the source edition, cutoff and directory check date shown for each measure. Historical snapshots and dated contacts may differ from current conditions; this site is not a live individual-case feed. Judge coverage separates identity linkage, associated proceedings, asylum linkage, inclusion and exclusion, usable dates and recorded outcomes. An unresolved identity, no source records, no asylum linkage, excluded records, missing dates, no grants or denials, an empty filter selection and a loading failure mean different things. Unknown or missing is not zero; a grant share with zero grants plus denials is not calculable. Blank dates or outcomes do not prove that a case is pending or undecided, or that a judge had no cases or did not serve. Judge-code association does not establish who personally made each decision. Source coverage stays independent of detail filters, and missing-date and missing-outcome counts can overlap, so do not add them as separate proceedings.

Individual case information

For your hearing dates, orders, filing requirements and deadlines, use official notices and the responsible agency’s current instructions. EOIR identifies court documents such as hearing notices as the official source of case-status information; automated information is limited. If a notice and an online result disagree, or no result appears, contact the responsible court or qualified legal representative promptly. A ZIP lookup does not determine or transfer your venue, and using this site does not change a hearing or deadline. For case-specific advice, seek a licensed attorney or an appropriately accredited representative; this site provides general information, not individual legal advice.

Translations and external resources

English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese page text is maintained and checked by AI against the source meaning; errors remain possible. Official names and source documents retain their original language. Check the original official document when wording affects a requirement or action. External resources and listed providers have their own terms and may change. A listing or link is not an endorsement or a guarantee of eligibility, availability, free service or representation; confirm credentials, intake conditions, fees and contact details directly.
